Gelagen Questions and Answers
If two different people have asked us the same question, the answer is below, kept short.
About the product
What is Gelagen?
A daily gummy dietary supplement for skin health, a youthful-looking glow and hydration, with hair and nail support.
Who is it for?
Generally healthy adults who want daily nutritional support for skin, hair and nails alongside sunscreen, sleep and a good diet.
Is it a drug?
No. It is a supplement, not a medicine, and treats nothing.
Where is it made?
The maker describes it as made in the USA in a GMP-certified, FDA-registered facility.
Is it a gummy or capsule?
A chewable gummy, 60 per bottle.
Does it contain collagen?
The most detailed published list names B vitamins, not collagen. Your bottle's Supplement Facts panel is the authority.
Using it
How many gummies a day?
Two. Do not exceed the labeled serving.
When should I take them?
At the same time daily, with a glass of water. Some sellers suggest about 30 minutes before a meal.
Can I take it with my multivitamin?
Often yes, but add up the biotin and vitamin B6 from both and ask a pharmacist if unsure.
What if I miss a day?
Just take the next serving as usual. Do not double up.
How should I store it?
Cool and dry with the lid closed. Heat makes gummies stick together.
Should I brush my teeth after?
It is a good idea. Gummies are sweet and sticky.
Results
How long until I see results?
Judge skin over eight to twelve weeks and nails and hair over three to six months.
What do people notice first?
Skin changes come first because skin renews fastest, in roughly four to six weeks.
Will it work for everyone?
No supplement does. People who already get plenty of these vitamins from food may notice little.
Do results last if I stop?
Skin, hair and nails keep renewing, so nutritional support only works while the habit continues.
Does it replace skincare?
No. Sunscreen, a gentle cleanser and moisturizer do work a gummy cannot.
Can it regrow hair?
No. It is not a hair loss treatment. Sudden or patchy loss needs a doctor.
Safety
Can Gelagen affect blood tests?
Yes. Biotin can distort thyroid, troponin and other lab results. Tell your doctor and the lab before any test.
Is it safe in pregnancy?
Ask your doctor first. Prenatal vitamins already contain B vitamins, and doses add up.
Can children take it?
No. It is for adults, and gummies should be kept out of reach of children.
Does it contain sugar?
Most gummies do. The Supplement Facts panel lists the amount per serving.
Are there side effects?
B vitamins are generally well tolerated at normal amounts. Stop and speak to a doctor if anything unusual appears.
Is it FDA approved?
No supplement is. FDA registration of a facility is a different thing.
